I have taught since 1976. I have two Masters degrees, one in education and one in reading endorsement.
I love teaching reading and literature. Because I love books, I feel my enthusiasm makes me a great reading teacher.
Presently I teach 3rd and 4th grade reading. I make reading more than just a school subject.
My goal is to hopefully make some lifetime readers. I have also concentrated, especially this year, on content area reading
(social studies, science, etc) and strategies that help students understand factual texts.
I am so thankful to teach in a school where I can make God a part of each day.
I have a son who is an electrical engineer. He is married and I have a 13-month-old grandson!
Being a grandma is the best. My two girls are finishing up Grad school.
One to be a Child Life Specialist and the other a Research Librarian.
I love reading books, going to movies , spending time with my family,
exercising, and spending time with my pets, dog, Larry and cats, Penguin, Henry and Charlie. |
