Promoting good stewardship… is an important goal of this year's student council as demonstrated by our collection on Wednesday, October 24 th at the morning's liturgy. At every regularly scheduled school Mass, students will be encouraged to make a sacrificial offering to a charitable cause chosen by Student Council. On this particular day the collection amounted to $140.74 which council earmarked for the Stark County Humane Society. Father Cebula during his homily made a nice connection with this effort and our blessing of animals held on St. Francis of Assisi 's Feast Day, October 4. Our next regular school Mass will be November 19 th and council has already announced that the collection will go to the St. Barbara's Food Pantry to help feed the hungry.
