A SPECIAL WELCOME… to Mrs. Lisa Eberhardt who will be joining our teaching staff full-time. Mrs. Eberhardt taught 2 nd grade at St. Barbara School for 3 years and has provided computer instruction for students in grades Kindergarten through grade eight for the last two years. She will be replacing Sharon McAllister who is on a leave of absence due to family illness. When Mrs. McAllister returns, Mrs. Eberhardt will remain on staff part time to provide computer instruction for all grades and teach English, Grammar and Writing to students in grades five through eight.

Mrs. Eberhardt is a graduate of Bowling Green University and received a five year teaching license from the Ohio Department of Education through Walsh University in 2009. We are very fortunate that Mrs. Eberhardt has decided to return to teaching full time.

OPENING DAY OF SCHOOL… Shelby Kennard, Safety Patrol Guard and Mr. Otte, Principal, welcome Jana Seifert, John Carroll, Katie Ilnicka and Justin Carroll back to school on Tuesday morning! Their smiling faces are a sure indication that they are ready to take on the challenges of a new school year. 139 students are currently on our roster as we begin the 2009-2010 year.

Ellie (Gr. 2) and Wyatt (Gr. 5) are given a personal preview of some of the new computer lab software by teacher, Doug Snyder. Mr. Snyder comes to us from the Stark County Board of MRDD where he served as a computer instructor at both Southgate and Eastgate for over thirty years. (Mr. Snyder will be with us during Mrs. McAllister's leave of absence.)
