Going Green-In a Strange Kind of Way… Matthew Paquelet, third grader and his brother Andrew Paquelet, fifth grader, check out the Amorphophallus, commonly referred to as the “Voodoo Lily”, given to the school by the boy's grandmother, Judy Paquelet. This particular plant is native to countries in Southeast Asia but can flourish in Ohio's climate if started each spring indoors. This particular plant is soon to be transferred to its summer home outside the west entrance of the school just having emerged from its dormancy stage. We'll keep a close eye on this plant to see if we can determine why the plant is called the “Voodoo Lily”.
