AHERA Annual Notification The AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act) requires that notification be given yearly to indicate that our school inspections and management plans are in compliance with the AHERA law. St. Barbara School is in compliance with the AHERA law. Please be assured that your child's health and safety remain our highest priority.

Safety Notice for Car Riders… Between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15a.m. it is very important to exercise extreme caution when using the driveway behind the school to drop off your children . Please be careful, watch, look and drive slowly! Children from 2 years of age and up are walking or being walked to their respective entrance door, some parents walking all the way from the main parking lot as suggested.
Suggestions:
•  Keep the right curb lane moving, stop your vehicle, drop off and depart. Do not park along the curb next to the building.
•  If you need to stop, park and escort your child into the building, we recommend using the main parking lot, however, during the winter months we will permit parking along the left curb lane in front of the parish life center. Do not, however, park in front of the center after 8:30am since the hall is commonly used for funeral luncheons and other functions.

School Closing on Bad Weather Days… In case of inclement weather; please tune to WHBC 1480AM or 94.1FM for information about school closing. We will be closed if either Massillon City Schools OR Tuslaw Local Schools close. It will be announced on the radio. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE RECTORY. Mr. Otte also intends to announce the school closing on the Parent Broadcast System at approximately 6:30am.

Cancellation of School-Related activities:
On any day on which classes are canceled due to severe weather conditions, all other school-related activities (e.g., school-sponsored social events, meetings, extra-curricular activities or athletic events/practices held on or away from school property) shall likewise be canceled on that day and evening.
