Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are lay person commissioned by the diocesan bishop who serves at the Masses to ensure that all who wish may receive communion and under both species whenever possible.

Extraordinary ministers also take communion to the sick and homebound so that they may receive communion as frequently as possible.

Ministers are commissioned to function within the parish for a period of three years according to diocesan guidelines. The commission expires if a person leaves to attend another parish.
